BigGrin I spoke with a mum at my daughter swimming class today, one of her children is disabled - he used to a hydro pool for his poorly body.

I said to his mum can anyone go....she thought so, whilst I was watching my daughter swim I had a quick look on the hydro pool website for info. Mentions arthritis & joints!!

Says referrals for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year.

Do I have to get note from rheumy department or dr from surgery or take letters from the hospital?
My friends mum says they have the gradual steps in pool (bonus for me).

Its only £5.00 a session (thought be a lot more).

Following Zenna thread of swimming....I doubt my knees and feet would allow me to climb down the normal steps and back up!!

Sounds brilliant. I have been attending Physio and they suggested Hydro pool. The warm water
is the jewel I think. I see you in the South West do you live in Somerset ?

Hi Ladies,

I think I shall ask the rheumy nurse next month if they can refer.
Hi Rose, I live in wiltshire.
I'd love to life by the seaside, haven't had holiday this year to enjoy the sea air!

Hi Jane - I had another hydrotherapy session last Wednesday and it was bliss! Lovely warm water and good for stretching my joints. Have you got any further getting a referral to hydro yourself?

Sylvia xx

Got 1 year refer'd.

Glad you enjoying and have met people, sounds a great way of meeting people in a relaxing place and have a natter with similar health issues.

Shame your pool isn't closer or I'd be joining you!LOL
